DKI Jakarta


Jakarta Special Capital Region (DKI Jakarta) is the capital of Indonesia. It was the only one in Indonesia that have status at the provincial. Jakarta is located in the western part of the Java sea. Previously been known by the name of Sunda Kelapa / Kalapa (before 1527), Jayakarta (1527-1619), Batavia (1619-1942), and Djakarta (1942-1972).

In 2004, the width is about 740 km ² and population of 8,792,000 inhabitants. Jakarta metropolitan Jabotabek together with approximately 23 million people is the largest metropolitan area in India or the world order in the sixth. Jabotabek area has now integrated with the Bandung Raya, where megapolis Jabotabek-Bandung Raya covers about 30 million, placing this region megapolis second in the world, after Tokyo megapolis.

Bali is an island in Indonesia, and became one of the provinces of Indonesia. Bali lies between Java and Lombok Island. Denpasar is the provincial capital, located on the southern island. Bali is a majority of the population embraces Hinduism. The world famous Bali as a tourism destination with a unique variety of art-culture, especially for the Japanese and Australian tourists. Bali is also known as Pulau Dewata.

UNIQUE INDONESIA

From Sabang to Merauke, Indonesia consists of various ethnic, language and religion that is different. Java tribe is the largest ethnic group and the most politically dominant. Indonesia's national motto, "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" ( "Different backgrounds but one"), the diversity that make up the country.
